Biblical View of Marriage

Our View of Christian marriage is grounded in the Holy Scriptures, one affirmed by both Jesus in Matthew 19:4-6 and by Paul in Ephesians 5:31, originally given in Genesis 2:24.

He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become on flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” Matthew 19:4-6
“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” Ephesians 5:31

We believe and celebrate marriage as a covenant made between a man and a woman before Christ and the Church.
