Disciple Classes 

WANTED:  Adults who are committed to studying the Bible every week. Need to be open to receiving Good News. Looking for persons with a thoughtful and reflective personality who wish a deeper understanding of God’s Holy Word and would be excited to share his or her faith with others.  Through Disciple, persons will be strengthened in their faith and guided into service and ministry.  For more information on Disciple or to register for classes, please contact Pastor Polly Deppen at the church office.  677-4076

.Disciple I: "Becoming Disciples through Bible Study" is a 34-week survey of the entire Bible. Emphasizing serious Bible Study, Disciple also seeks to strengthen and deepen the Christian discipleship of each person. A workbook is provided that includes daily readings and studying of the Bible. Classes meet weekly for 2 hours. The weekly sessions include a theme emphasis, selected scripture for study, prayer, a ten-minute videotape featuring outstanding biblical scholars and pastors, an in-depth study of one key passage, and an inquiry into "Marks of Discipleship."

Disciple II: "Into the Word, Into the World" is available for those persons who have completed Disciple I. It delves deeper into Scripture. This is a 32-week study, which spends sixteen weeks on Genesis-Exodus and sixteen weeks on Luke-Acts.

Disciple III: "Remember Who You Are" is the third study in the Disciple program. The focus of this 32-week study is the connection between memory and identity as the people of God. The word You is meant to be heard both in its singular form (the individual) and its pleural form (the community).

Disciple IV: "Under the Tree of Life" is the final study in the series.  It is a 32-week study of the Writings (Old Testament books not in the Torah or the Prophets), the Gospel of John and Revelation.
