Introducing our new pastor, Christopher Chandler, who will begin at CPC on June 9. We are very excited!!
Pastor Chris Chandler
and his wife Stacy Chandler were married at Princeton Theological Seminary in 2000. Upon graduating with his Masters of Divinity, Pastor Chris served as chaplain at The Morris County Correctional Facility. Since that time he has served at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Ballygowan Northern Ireland; at Faith United Presbyterian Church in Medford, New Jersey; and most recently at Tuskawilla Presbyterian Church in Oviedo. In his post graduate work, he is studying Spiritual Direction, and in 2015 will receive his certificate from Gordon Conwell/Leadership Transformations.
Chris and Stacy have four beautiful children: their daughter Anna is 12, their twins Ella and Lydia are 10, and Caleb, the youngest, will be two in August. Since Caleb's birth, Chris has been an active board member of the Central Florida Down Syndrome Association and has helped his church develop a ministry to persons with special needs.
Adult Bible Study: Going Deeper classes will be held on Sundays at 9:45 on non-unity days in the Conference Room. Pastor Mary will be leading a discussion on going deeper into the sermon text, so bring your favorite Bible. No preparation or homework required! Even if you attend 8:30 worship, this class will cover new/additional material.
Presbyterian Women's Bible Study Group "Dispatches to God's Household: the general Epistles" meets the second Tuesday at 10:00 am in Room 1. This Bible study deals with the migration of God's people and relates to issues we face today is taking the place of our Peace and Praise Circles. Please join us the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am. in Room 1. Contact the church office for more information. Join Presbyterian Women in their Bible Study and find warm fellowship and excellent Bible study.
Wednesday Men's Breakfast and Bible Study Group at CPC every Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. All men are welcome!
Men, join us for a delicious breakfast at 8:30 a.m. followed by Bible Study with Rev. Bob Orr in Room 1 at 9:00 a.m. It's a great time to feed your body and your soul. For the first few weeks in April we will continue studying paul's letter to the Galatians.

For the last two weeks in April, the study will be on Paul's letter to the Ephesians.

Job Opening - The Presbyterian Counseling Center is looking for a part-time secretary. The position is 30 hours a week, and the wage is $13 an hour. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with quality, caring customer service interactions, i.e., able to respond gently when clients are upset or frustrated. Competence with QuickBooks and other computer-based recordkeeping and scheduling programs is important. Expertise in filing medical or mental health insurance claims is a plus. Presbyterian Women Spring Luncheon - Attention ladies! Please mark your calendars and join us for our Spring Luncheon which will be held on Sunday, May 4, directly after the Unity service. We will be taking reservations on Sunday, April 20th and Sunday, April 27th. The luncheon will be catered by our own Cathy Jorgensen; the cost is still only $8.00.
CPC Supper Club - Due to the great response to the Summer Supper Club Events, there will be year round opportunities for you to fellowship and enjoy a meal with your church family and friends! No supper club in April. The next CPC Supper Club is Thursday, May 15, 5:30 p.m. at Red Lobster on International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach. Adventures in the Arts! - Children grades K-5 are welcome to join!
Adventures in the Arts takes children through all the different areas of the arts including music, drama, singing, instruments, crafts, painting, drawin, cooking, and so much more! We will also have snacks, recreation activities, and study hall/quiet time! Right here at CPC. We provide transportation for children from their school to CPC. Every Wednesday after school 1:00pm-5:30pm (early release and regular release Wednesdays).
